Face It: A cleanser and a mask? Too good to be true?

As I thought of what to review first, it came to me that I should post about something I already use or have used. This is where Neutrogena‘s Deep Clean Cleanser/Mask. I didn’t even think about reviewing this product due to the fact that it has been in the market for such a long time. The launching of Neutrogena‘s Fine Fairness range, where they were also promoting the Deep Clean range brought it to mind again.

Back to the product, it can be used daily as a cleanser or an oil-controlling mud mask. Now, I have dry combination skin, with an oilier T-zone and dry, sensitive cheeks. I actually bought this after having had success using the Foaming Cleanser from the same range. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for this one.

I find this product too drying as a cleanser. Even by reducing the amount used, I still get that slightly tight feeling after washing off with water. Thus, I don’t think it would work very well for me as a mask. People with oily skin might benefit from it though as it contains Kaolin.

Loves: 2 in 1 product, good for people with oily skin, can be used as an oil-controlling mask
Gripes: Too drying for dry skins

This Cleanser/Mask can be yours for just RM 18.90 for 100ml and goes on sale quite often at most pharmacies. It is both dermatologist and allergy tested and is non-comedogenic. A little goes a long way and one tube will last a lifetime.

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this review financially or otherwise. Everything mentioned are my own thoughts based on my experience.

Miu, yeah me too. That is why sometimes my cheeks are very read. Yours don’t even look sensitive. So smooth and even-toned. Jealous! Their Foaming Cleanser is more gentle though. i tried that one before this. Liked it better too. You stick with Clarins then. At least you know it works well for you.
